Home-grown fruit, wine and olives
The Lindenhof is not only a place to spend your holiday, but also a working fruit and wine farm. Apples, Merlot grapes and even olives thrive here in Kurtatsch’s mild climate. As our guests, you can not only see farm life first-hand, but also taste what we grow and learn more about our work during our weekly farm tour.
What we grow
From apples to olives
Our orchards are home to Royal Gala, Redpop®, Golden Delicious, Red Delicious, Granny Smith, Cosmic Crisp®, Giga®, Pink Lady®, Joya® and Crimson Snow® apples. We use selected ripe apples to make our naturally cloudy apple juice.
We grow Merlot grapes in three different locations.
Olives have also been part of our farm since 2009, and we use our own harvest to produce our olive oil.
From our farm to your table
Homemade & freshly picked
We carefully turn fruit and vegetables into fruit spreads, juices, dried fruit, dried linden blossom, sweet-and-sour vegetables, chutneys and other treats. You will find a selection of our homemade products in our little farm shop.
There is even more to enjoy fresh from the garden: you are welcome to pick your own herbs and seasonings from our labelled herb garden. Depending on the season, there are also berries, table grapes and persimmons to enjoy. When we have enough available, we also provide our guests with apples, peaches, apricots, plums and vegetables.
Experience farming first-hand
Our weekly farm tour
Once a week, we invite our guests to discover more about our farm and the work we do. Together, we visit one of our vineyards and an orchard, where we talk informally about fruit growing and viticulture and are happy to answer your questions about farming.
If you prefer to explore on your own, you can set off directly from the main square into the surrounding cultivated landscape. Along the way, the Wine Trail and Apple Trail offer plenty of interesting facts and curiosities about fruit growing and viticulture.
Faq
The farm tour takes place once a week.
Together with their hosts, guests visit a vineyard and an orchard. There they can learn more about fruit growing and viticulture and ask questions about farming.
A selection of homemade products is available in our little farm shop. Guests are welcome to pick herbs and seasonings from the labelled herb garden. Depending on the season and availability, berries, table grapes, persimmons and other fruit and vegetables are also available.
